Leave it to a French bottled water brand to take a stab at footwear design. In an effort to get couch potatoes up and moving from their perch, Vittel launched Couch Converter, a campaign that allowed people to make sneakers using fabric from their couch.
To get a pair of custom kicks, users had to send Vittel a photo of their couch and a swatch of the couch fabric. The program, which was available in select European countries, accepted just 50 submissions. Participants will receive their shoes in eight weeks.
