Stride Rite is giving back this back-to-school season with the help of non-profit partner Soles4Souls.
From now until Sept. 5, Stride Rite will be donating one percent of its net profit (or up to $100,000) to Soles4Souls, the charitable organization that gives shoes to children in poverty.
The shoe brand will also provide opportunities for customers to donate new and used shoes at select locations. Customers who donate shoes in the Soles4Souls collection bin will be treated to a five percent off coupon for purchase at Stride Rite.
To further tempt purchases, the brand is holding a “BOGO” sale on new shoes. Through Sept. 5, shoppers in-store and online can buy one pair of shoes and get one 40 percent off, on select styles.
“We’re committed to the mission of Soles4Souls and our extended partnership will allow us to help give kids the proper footwear they need to take advantage of all the opportunities an education can provide,” said Gillian Meek, Stride Rite senior vice president of product and marketing.
Since 2014, Stride Rite has helped collect and donate over 226,000 shoes to Soles4Souls which are distributed globally to children in need.
