Sperry launched the Odyssey Project in conjunction with the brand’s 80th anniversary. The lifestyle brand is sending 80 ambassadors around the world to document their journeys in diverse locations, while wearing its core styles.
Sperry calls their millennial ambassadors Intrepids. The group of entrepreneurs, photographers, musicians, bloggers and other taste-makers are modern-day explorers fueled by a passion for discovery, reflecting the values of the brand’s founder.
So far, there have been three odysseys. Bebban Stenbor and Ted Malmros of Swedish rock band Shout Out Louds traveled to Thailand to live with the Moken tribe, Brooklyn photographer Andre D. Wagner went to the Hawaiian island of Lanai to capture self-portraits, and Kari White (sister of Olympian Shaun White) visited Ireland’s Great Atlantic Way to discover more about her heritage.
Sperry fans and fellow travel junkies can follow the Intrepids’ odysseys through photos and videos at Sperry.com/OdysseyProject.
