Shoes for Crews Debuts New Look & First Women’s Collection

Shoes for Crews is ready to reveal the results of its company overhaul. The slip resistant footwear brand announced Tuesday it is re-launching the brand, following the introduction of a new attractive footwear collection targeted for women and millennial workers.

In the past year, Shoes for Crews has assembled a new design and development team, tapping talent from Timberland, Adidas, Nike and Deckers Brands. In May 2016, the company purchased work footwear brand Mozo.

The company, which owns its outsole factory, has also upgraded its factory partners to ensure high manufacturing quality and an ethical supply chain.

The new 77-piece collection combines proprietary slip resistant technology with on-trend styles and innovative elements designed to deliver safe work shoes that are also comfortable, lightweight and stylish. Styles include boots, sneakers and casual/dress silhouettes. Shoes for Crews is also introducing its first collection for women designed on women’s lasts, including T-strap heels, ankle boots and ballet flats. Previously, the brand offered sized down versions of men’s footwear.

“Work shoes do not need to be hard, heavy and ugly to be effective, but that’s what our industry has been delivering for decades,” said Shoes for Crews CEO and Chief Innovation Officer Stuart Jenkins. “When I joined the company, the opportunity to do it differently and successfully was immediately clear to me. Getting working people home safe is our mission, but that doesn’t mean the shoes they wear at work can’t look and feel as good as the ones they choose to wear when they’re not at work. It’s a matter of respect for working people.”
