New Balance Embraces Tech for Fall ’17

New Balance is providing an athlete’s paradise for cyclists, runners and everyone in-between.

For its Fall ’17 collection, the footwear brand updated its fleet with new running and training models. Using its Data-to-Design intelligence and other footwear technology, New Balance developed sleeker outsole designs, premium cushioning and strategically engineered mesh uppers for the season ahead.

Helming the footwear market for its first and second generations, the Fresh Foam Zante has a new face. Like its predecessors, the Fresh Foam Zantev3 is designed with the same concept in mind. Incorporating Data-to-Design intelligence, New Balance focused on midfoot strikers, while updating the outsole design to provide consumers with optimal comfort on long distance runs.

Last year’s hit, Fresh Foam 1080, was also revamped by New Balance. Research from a runner’s point of contact with the ground, coupled with other biomechanics data, led to the new Fresh Foam 1080v7. With comfort in mind, the new shoe features a bootie construction that accommodates different instep heights. Cushioning throughout the shoe also protects feet when they strike the ground during physical movement.

As the weather shifts to slightly cooler days, New Balance is changing up one of its staple running shoes. The Fresh Foam Gobi v2 takes consumers from streets to trails with its new look. The shoe’s upper features an engineered mesh package that fosters flexibility in the forefoot, while securing the midfoot on runs. Coupled with a reinforced toe protect, the Fresh Foam Gobi v2 protects consumers against rough terrain without sacrificing durability on the ride.

In addition to its line of running models, New Balance is also debuting its first cycle shoe. Replicating the same comfort level as a sneaker, the new shoe comes with a lightweight sole, Velcro straps for mid-foot support, breathable mesh to keep feet cool and recessed SPD cleats that allow consumers to walk easily on all surfaces after their cycling session.
