Kurt Geiger Donates Holiday Window Funds to Charity

Kurt Geiger is spreading a message of hope this holiday season. The British footwear designer has opted out of London retailers’ tradition for opulent holiday displays and has pledge to donate the company’s Christmas window funds to Hope and Homes for Children, a nonprofit that works to end institutional care of children globally.

In place of decorations, the Kurt Geiger store in London’s Notting Hill nabe features a single scarlet ornament, which the company said represents love for every single child.

Neil Clifford, Kurt Geiger chief executive officer, said, “We are thrilled to support Hope and Homes for Children and unveil our ‘No Christmas Window’ campaign. We hope to create awareness for this incredible charity, inspire others to act and raise money to change children’s lives.”

Shoppers can support the ‘No Christmas Window’ campaign via the Hope and Homes website or text. The UK government will double every pound (about $1.57) donated before Dec. 12 to the organization.

Hope and Homes for Children chief executive officer Mark Waddington said, “We are extremely grateful to Kurt Geiger for their support of our work and the ‘No Christmas Window’ initiative is just incredible. With the support of Kurt Geiger and their wonderful customers we will be able to help even more children in the future to keep them safe and loved.”
