It’s a big week for Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. The rising star, up for multiple Grammy awards on Sunday, launched her 13-style capsule collection with footwear designer Steve Madden on Jan. 30.
The hotly anticipated collection reflects Azalea’s distinct personal style with a combination of sporty and super feminine details and chunky ’90s silhouettes.
The line of platforms, gladiator sandals, old-school sneakers and slides are punched up with pops of ocean-colored pastels and sorbet hues, mesh, neoprene and metallic leather. Highlights include the Pressin, an athletic neoprene sandal with an elastic back strap and contrasting piping, the Hi-Top sandal, a glamorous take on kitschy jelly sandals with a block heel, and the Tempo-S, a sporty platform heel topped with a bejeweled satin upper.
Azalea gave a sneak peak of the collection in early January on Instagram, commenting, “There aren’t many places you can get good looking heels without breaking your budget, and theirs became my uniform as they remain for many women.”
Madden first teamed up with Azalea when she performed at his summer concert series in 2014. Madden said, “I like to make the coolest shoes I can, with the coolest people I know.”
The collection is available on Steve Madden’s ecommerce site, and a retail launch is planned for this month.
