Converse had announced yet another new variation on its popular Chuck II line of sneakers with the debut of the Chuck Taylor All Star II Engineered Woven Collection, which explores new materials and color combinations.
Drawing inspiration from the sky as the day turns from dawn to dusk, the right sneaker features the sun rising while the left shows the sun to be setting. The Chuck II Engineered Woven comes in two designs: one pair is outfitted in deep blue, fiery orange and pink colors reminiscent of dawn and twilight, while the second pair is a stark contrast in comparison, featuring the same sun image, but subdued by shades of grey and white, evoking feelings of nighttime.
The Chuck II Engineered Woven features a one-piece jacquard upper construction, and includes comfort features such as Nike’s Lunarlon sockliner and a padded non-slip tongue. A micro-perforated leather lining and leather toe cap round out the silhouette, providing a more premium look and feel.
The new style will be available starting May 6 for a suggested retail price of $130 at Converse retail stores and online.
